Chung Toi

tic-tac-toe with a twist

Object of Chung Toi - Player to get three game pieces in a row, as in tic-tac-toe, wins. The arrows do not have to line up.

Playing Chung Toi - Players begin by taking turns placing their game pieces on the board until all pieces are played, as seen at right. If neither player succeeds in getting his three pieces in a row then the players continue by taking turns moving their pieces. A piece can be moved to any open space as long as an arrow on the piece points in the direction of the desired space.

Player may move one space, or

player may move two spaces, or

player may jump his own piece or his opponent's piece.

Player may change the direction of the arrows when moving, or

Player may twist the piece and remain in place, or

player may "pass" by rotating the piece to the original position.

Player wins by getting three in a row.
